We created this program to support researchers by offering customized software solutions and discounted, or even free, services that enhance scientific research. Please review these Terms and Conditions carefully, as they govern your participation in this program.
1. Eligibility
- This program is available to scientists, academic researchers, and graduate-level students affiliated with recognized academic, scientific, or governmental institutions.
- Participants must use the software solely for research or academic purposes intended to advance knowledge or contribute to public welfare.
2. Application and Approval Process
- Interested individuals must submit an application detailing their research goals, institutional affiliation, and required software or tools.
- Initiate AI reserves the right to request additional information, approve, or deny applications at its discretion.
3. Program Benefits
- Discounted or Free Services: Participants may receive substantial discounts or free access to custom-built software, depending on the research’s scope, impact, and financial support.
- Custom Development: For larger-scale or grant-funded research, we may provide custom-built software tailored to specific research needs.
- Post-Launch Support: Initiate AI offers reasonable post-launch support to ensure the software remains functional and relevant throughout the research project.
4. Permissible Use
- Software provided under this program is strictly for non-commercial, academic, and research purposes. Participants may not use the software for commercial gain or in ways that violate these terms.
- Software must not be distributed, modified, sublicensed, or transferred to other individuals or institutions without written permission from Initiate AI.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
- Initiate AI retains ownership and intellectual property rights over any software, tools, or custom solutions created for this program.
- Publications or research papers that use or reference Initiate AI software must credit Initiate AI appropriately, as specified in Section 9.
6. Limitations of Liability
- Initiate AI provides all software and services “as-is” without any express or implied warranties of any kind, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Initiate AI is not responsible for any damages, data loss, or system issues arising from the use or inability to use any software or service provided. Researchers are responsible for backing up their data and ensuring compatibility with their systems.
7. Termination of Participation
- Initiate AI reserves the right to terminate a participant’s access to the Supporting Scientists Program at any time if:
- There is a breach of these terms,
- The software is being used for unauthorized purposes, or
- Continued participation no longer aligns with Initiate AI’s goals.
- Upon termination, participants must discontinue use of all provided software and uninstall any tools acquired under this program.
8. Privacy and Data Usage
- Initiate AI will keep all application information confidential and use it solely for evaluating eligibility and customizing software solutions. Personal or research data will not be disclosed to third parties without the researcher’s consent, except as required by law.
9. Publication and Sharing of Results
Initiate AI encourages the publication and sharing of research findings generated with its tools. However, participants must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Acknowledgment: All publications, presentations, or public disclosures using Initiate AI’s software must include an acknowledgment of Initiate AI as a contributing partner. Suggested format:
“This research was supported by custom tools provided by Initiate AI.” - Logos and Branding: The use of Initiate AI’s logos or branding in published materials requires prior written consent.
- Submission of Publications: Participants are encouraged to share copies of publications with Initiate AI for possible promotion or cross-sharing within our networks.
- Proprietary Insights: For publications involving proprietary methods or code unique to Initiate AI, additional permissions may be required. Please contact us for clarification before submission.
- Notification: Notify Initiate AI prior to submission of any publication that prominently features results from our software, especially for prominent journals or conferences.
10. Governing Law
- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Initiate AI is headquartered. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively within this jurisdiction’s courts.
11. Modification of Terms
- Initiate AI reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued participation after modifications indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
